Greeks bearing information

The University of Crete's Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology has announced the public release of the Greek Vitis database - a multimedia web-backed genetic database for germplasm management of Vitis resources in Greece at the following Internet address: www.biology.uch.gr/gvd. The site offers a listing of all genetic resources for grapevine (Vitis vinifera) in Greece, as well as searchable databases of genetic identity profiles based on molecular markers and an ampelographic database containing 1,400 pictures. Other information relevant to grapevine in Greece is also available.
