Launching a new limited 5,000 bottle edition is Maxxium with Cutty Sark Tam o’Shanter Blended Scotch Whisky (rrp £199, abv 46.5%).
It is the first expression created by Cutty Sark master blender Kirsteen Campbell. It is a development of the Cutty Sark 25 year old, but with a distinctly darker, wilder side that aims to perfectly reflect the world famous Burns’ poem. The bottle features an etched scene from the Tam o’Shanter poem, as well as a wax closure showing Tam’s face. Presented in a bespoke oak gift box, the package is decorated in the style of Scottish figurative painter, Alexander Goudie. It also contains a 134-page book which tells the Tam o’ Shanter story in a distinctive and dramatic style.
