Cobra Beer has unveiled new designs for its Cobra 5% Premium beer cans, which have gone into production and will roll-out in the coming weeks. The launch follows the re-design of its Cobra 5% Premium bottled offering as well as Cobra Zero%, Cobra Light and the Cobra Bite range of naturally flavoured lagers.

Cobra's new packaging has already received industry acclaim after winning a GRAMIA at the 2008 ceremony last week with Cobra's design agency, Landor also announced as Agency of the Year.

Cobra 5% Premium in cans is available in 330ml and 500ml format. The 500ml format is widely distributed in the UK off-trade including a nationwide listing with Waitrose. It is also available through cash and carry groups Booker, Bestway and Makro and in major retail chains including Londis, Nisa and Bargain Booze. Cobra 330ml cans are stocked on Virgin Atlantic and Air India for all routes between the UK and India.

Will Ghali, Marketing Director of Cobra Beer, comments: "We're delighted with the new designs for Cobra's cans and feel that our design agency, Landor, has done a fantastic job with all of our new packaging. The packaging certainly has a more contemporary look to it and, crucially, we've also significantly increased stand-out on shelf."
