Targeted at the “daring and uninhibited: serious wine drinkers with a sense of adventure and fun,” is the Crash range of wines (rrp £9.99).
They consist of Crash Tinto, a blend of Tempranillo, Syrah, Grenache, Garnacha, Tintorera, Crash Blanco a Beba, Verdejo, Macabeo blend and Crash Rosado Garnacha Negra, Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines come via Pago los Balancines, which was founded in 2006 by a group of wine enthusiasts who wanted to concentrate on the emerging area of Ribera de Guadiana, (a DO, within the Extremadura region in the far west of Spain that was officially created in 1999). The aim is to offer “great value” wines of quality, not only at the winery but also in the vineyard. The packaging consists of six different pop-art inspired labels
