More than 70,000 70cl bottles of Courvoisier VS will be available during May and June in selected retail outlets, offering customers the chance to try a 5cl bottle of the higher marque.

Courvoisier is the UK's number one cognac with a 40% value share of total category sales in the off trade. Recent consumer research from Courvoisier shows that 48% of target consumers consider Courvoisier to be a high quality brand and one in three sees it as a brand that is good to gift'. The research also shows that consumers are more likely to recommend Courvoisier than any other leading cognac brand.

Courvoisier brand manager, Claire Richards said: "Much of our marketing activity this year focuses on adding value into the cognac category and encouraging consumers to trade up through the range. These value added packs will drive awareness and develop consumer understanding of the higher marques to encourage future sales, giving retailers better profit potential and ensuring an enhanced customer experience."
