The philosophy behind releasing vintages, is that you can't put a time on the maturation of a cask - as in it's ready, when it's ready. Thirty percent of the whisky has matured in first-fill American casks and Spanish Sherry oak casks "Arguably it is at its best after dinner when conversation is in full flow," states Ronnie Cox, The Glenrothes director. http://www.theglenrothes.com
