And now for something completely different - Maxxium UK is set to launch the first ever natural yoghurt liqueur to the UK market.
Developed by Lucas Bols, Bols Natural Yoghurt Liqueur (rrp £10.95) is made with 100% fresh white yoghurt (15% abv) as a sweet-sour liqueur to be served chilled or used as a key ingredient in drinks and cocktails. The aim is to offer something new to both consumers and bartenders to explore. Available to both on and off-trade it is presented in a specially coated 500ml bottle. Viewed as a natural alternative to traditional cream liqueurs it aims to meet the increasing demand from both the trade and consumers for products made from fresh and natural ingredients. It has secured listings in three wholesale accounts, Waverley TBS, Morton's and Wallaces Express.
