Berkmann Wine Cellars will be showcasing a selection of its expanding Spanish portfolio at Wine + 2008 including wines from Bodegas Julián Chivite, Navarra.

On Thursday, 17th January at 11.30am on the Berkmann stand, Fernando Chivite, winemaker at Bodegas Julin Chivite will be presenting back vintages of the award winning Coleccin 125 range of Blanco, Reserva and Vendimia Tarda to visitors (please contact Bridget French to confirm attendance). The Coleccin range is produced in limited quantities at Chivite's single estate Bodegas Seoro de Arnzano in Tierra Estella, Navarra, which has just received the prestigious denomination of Vino de Pago, one of only five properties in all of Spain to receive this classification.

Other wines not to be missed include a limited availability single vineyard Graciano from Bodegas Valdemar, Inspiracin Graciano. The Graciano grapes were hand picked from Bodegas Valdemar's 1 hectare El Altillo' vineyard near Oyn in Rioja Alavesa from the exceptional 2001 vintage.

Further wines that will be available to taste from Berkmann Wine Cellars' portfolio include: single vineyard Finca Valpiedra (DOCa Rioja), Finca Antigua Reserva (DO La Mancha), joven and Reservas from Bodegas Valdemar (DOCa Rioja), Juan Rojo from ungrafted old vines at Bodegas Matarredonda (up and coming appellation, Toro), Rudeles (DO Ribera del Duero) and a deliciously crisp Verdejo from Condesa Eylo (DO Rueda).
