Co-op secures Cava product

Marqués de Monistrol has sealed a new UK supermarket listing with its is Marqués de Monistrol Grand Tradicion Vintage Cava Rose 2005.

It will be stocked in 330 Co-op stores from the end of March and retail around 7.99.

Marqus de Monistrol is being supported this year with a consumer marketing campaign through a new dedicated website and added-value promotions and competitions, offering drinkers luxury weekend breaks.

The brand is said to have grown by 43% last year in an offering that includes non-vintage, vintage and ros variants.

Marqus de Monistrol is said to include the number two sparkling ros brand in the UK, worth more than 10m at retail value.

Other UK stockists of the range variants include Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Waitrose.
