Yali Winemaker?s Selection is a new range of wines from leading Chilean producer Viña Ventisquero.

Yali
"We own vineyards in some of Chile's most recognised grape growing areas - the coastal Maipo, Rapel, and Casablanca Valleys, together with Apalta, Peralillo and Lolol in Colchagua Valley," explains Via Ventisquero's Export Director Amrico Hernndez.

"The wines in the new Yali Winemaker's Selection will be a true expression of the terroir from which the grapes are sourced," he concludes.

The first two wines in the range are a Cabernet Carmnre 2006 from Colchagua Valley and a Sauvignon Blanc 2007 from the Rapel Valley. The range is aimed at the Off-Trade and both wines have an RRP of 5.99, which positions them just under the Yali Reserve range.

They are available under screwcap and a sticker with the ClimateCare logo on each bottle explains that C02 emissions from the transportation of the wine have been off-set. A message reinforced via a ClimateCare necktag.

The Yali brand is named after 'El Yali Wetland' - the major wetland ecosystem in Central Chile, which is home to 25% of the Chilean bird biodiversity. Via Ventisquero believes it is their commitment to quality and innovation that has seen the company become one of the largest suppliers to the UK.

Yali Winemaker's Selection is available through PLB, tel: 01342 318282.
