Fairhills launches 1-litre bag-in-box

Available in Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc varieties, the Fairhills South Africa 1 litre bag-in-box is easy to transport and convenient to store - staying fresh for up to nine months before use and keeping chilled in the fridge for up to two weeks after opening. In addition, the cardboard outer is 100% recyclable making this an ideal choice for those watching their carbon footprint.

The wines come from the Fairhills project in South Africa - a joint venture between Origin Wines and the South African Du Toitskloof winery, which employs more than 800 people and offers better work and living conditions for farmers and their families.

The Fairhills Association was founded in South Africa in 2005. In addition to its South African heartland, Fairhills has now set up similar projects in Argentina and Chile making it the biggest Fairtrade wine project in the world. The first wine produced in the famous Mendoza region of Argentina, Fairhills Mendoza Vineyards Shiraz Tempranillo, has already won an award for taste and quality in the 2007 Fairtrade wine awards.
