A presentation was made by Giancarlo Polegato, President of La Gioiosa, to David Garlick, Managing Director of D&D Wines to mark the occasion. Together the companies have developed La Gioiosa into a Top 25 Wine Brand in the UK, and La Gioiosa is the biggest selling white wine in Tesco.

The Sales, Marketing and Technical teams from DDWI visited the La Gioiosa organisation where they toured the Noventa di Piave winery and surrounding vineyards, the La Gioiosa vineyards and the bottling and warehouse facilities.

"We are extremely proud of what we have achieved over the past 10 years. The growth of the La Gioiosa brand began with a listing of their Pinot Grigio with Tesco back in 2000." Commented David Garlick.

"Increased sales of La Gioiosa have come from listings of varietals such as Merlot, Pinot Grigio Blush and of course, Prosecco. Product extensions of 25cl bottles and 3l BIB sizes have also driven volume."

La Gioiosa are currently continuing their brand development with a range of naturally lower in alcohol wines.

La Gioiosa is situated in the heart of Treviso, and is a leader in the production of Prosecco, managing 700ha of Prosecco vineyards in the Valdobbiadene region.
