Felix Solis, producer of leading Valdepeñas brand Viña Albali, is launching a new £3.99 Spanish brand, Vinum Classic.

Produced under the Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla category, Felix Solis's UK importer Free Run Wines will introduce Vinum Classic to the UK market later this year.

Both traditional and international grape varieties are used in the range, which is based on dual-varietal wines. So far it consists of a Cabernet/Merlot, a Shiraz/Cabernet, a Tempranillo/Cabernet, a Merlot/Shiraz, an Airén blanco and a Tempranillo/Garnacha rosé.

Free Run Wines' marketing manager Sadie Payne commented: 'Felix Solis is keen to show the potential that the region has to produce young wines that are rich in colour and flavour and that have been adapted to suit consumers' current tastes.'
