It's been an interesting month so far with the weather causing havoc. Nevertheless this has not dampened our spirits at Sam's Brasserie + Bar or over in Balham at Harrison's

So what's happened in the past month? The success of our "Bring Your Own Wine Monday Nights", at both venues has seen numbers increase twofold. Whether customers dust off the vintage Rothschild or pop down the local off-license were always delighted to welcome people with their own bottle.
We also have our fabulous January fine wine sale at both Sam's and Harrison's. This sees a fantastic array of wines on offer. For example one of the best selections we currently have is the Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée Etienne Gonnet, Rhône 2003 with its hints of kirsch intermixed with ground pepper and herbes de Provence - originally £112.50 and now just £50.00.

I'm thrilled to have these superb wines available at both my restaurants. It clearly shows that value for money doesn't necessarily have to be about cheap prices. It can also be about amazing value at any price point. Has this been ef...

The last month has been very busy with the preparation of the Sud de France Sommelier of the year. I have also been building the Languedoc Roussillon wine list up for the Maze Grill which was timed quite well as it gave me a great opportunity to taste all the wines from the region.
