French Wines with Style Masterclasses

Gérard Basset, MS, MW, OBE is to host four masterclasses at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust over the next four months.

The masterclasses are designed to show the range of styles of French wines available in the UK, and how best to match the wines with local and international cuisine.

August 16 – Alsace, Jura/Savoie, Burgundy

September 13 – Vin de France, Provence/Corsica, Bordeaux

October 4 – Sparkling wines, Loire, Languedoc-Roussillon

November 6 – 2012 Beaujolais, Rhône and the South West

Vina Croatia Tasting

Supported by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Agriculture, the tasting will be able to sample wines from 30 of Croatia's foremost wine producers. Wine writers Anthony Rose and Joe Wadsack will present two masterclasses on Croatian wine and its opportunities for the UK market
