Independent wine merchants and suppliers interested in working more closely together are urged to join an open Harpers debate to be held in London on September 20.
The event marks a year since the initial open trade discussions that Harpers organised to look at ways in which independent wine merchants could be better served by their suppliers.
The meeting held in London last September resulted in the Harpers Best Practice Guidelines - designed to make trading between merchants and suppliers as transparent and fair as possible.
To date, close to 15 suppliers have signed up to the initiative and the debate on September 20 will look at how the guidelines are working in practice, with case studies from participating suppliers, and what improvements could be made.
Those attending include Hatch Mansfield, PLB, Les Caves de Pyrène, Mentzendorff, Cordorníu UK; Jamie Hutchinson, the Sampler; Matthew Hennings, Hennings Wine Merchants; Ted Sandbach, the Oxford Wine Company; and Hal Wilson, Cambridge Wine Merchants.
The event is taking place at Davy's at Woolgate Bar & Brasserie, London EC2V 5HA from 10am-12.30pm. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you would like to attend. |
