Published:  15 May, 2017

South American wine company Santa Rita Estates has created a new role to reinforce its “commitment” to the UK market.

Manny Doidge, will become business manager GB for the Santa Rita Estates wine group, a new position which will focus on fostering relationships with distributors and creating new business opportunities in the UK.

The company, which has four Chilean wine brands and one Argentinian in its portfolio, said today that the role was created to ensure that its brands are kept “relevant to the UK market in challenging times”.

Doidge has worked in the premium wine industry for over 20 years including positions within sales and marketing at Paragon Vintners, Pernod Ricard and Lanson. Most recently, she was on-trade sales director at Sogrape where she developed brands for the UK market.

“This new appointment further reinforces the commitment we have to the UK market,” Terry Pennington, export director Europe, said.

“Despite a turbulent political and economic climate Santa Rita Estates will continue to invest in this market, we are very much looking at the long term goals and with our new partnerships in place we are certainly well placed to achieve these ambitions.”
