New Morrisons listing for Viñalba and Buckingham Schenk

Buckingham Schenk has added new Malbec rosé to its Viñalba wine label as the brand celebrates its 10-year anniversary.

The variant, which will be listed by Morrisons with an RRP of £8.50, is the second Viñalba listing for Morrisons which will sit alongside Viñalba Reservado de la Familia Malbec which was listed with the retailer in 2014.

Viñalba is a joint venture between Buckingham Schenk and Mendoza-based Bodegas Fabre, which is owned by Hervé and Diane Joyaux Fabre.

It was launched in 2007, and is now sold in 12 countries worldwide.

Ten years on, the brand is preparing for its anniversary this October with a pop-up shop in London’s Shoreditch.

Called La Casa del Vino Viñalba, the pop-up will have the whole Viñalba portfolio will be available to taste.

“Preparation of the pop-up shop is in full swing and to gain new listings after ten years is a real testament to the outstanding quality of the wines, especially at premium price points,” Craig Durham, managing director at Buckingham Schenk said.

“We are extremely proud of Viñalba’s success and we look forward to celebrating its birthday in style with La Casa del Vino Viñalba.”

Viñalba Malbec Rosé is made from 100% Malbec from its vineyards in Mendoza. The vines are on grown in the foothills of mountain ranges, more than 950m above sea level with yields of 60hl/ha.
