Harpers at LWF: English Fizz, Driving NPD and The Future of the Agency Model

Harpers will be again be taking the stage at this year’s reinvigorated London Wine Fair with a mix of briefings and tasting, tying in with exciting new features including the Innovation Zone and Drinks Britannia, where the results of our English Wine Stars Awards will be revealed.

Drinks Britannia Zone: Harpers English Sparkling Wine Stars Awards announced and tasting of top fizzes, with Chris Wilson.

On the opening Monday, Harpers editor Andrew Catchpole will be fronting a key Industry Briefing, focusing on The Future of the Agency Model, in the London Room at 2PM.

A cross-trade panel will look at how the role of the agent-importer is evolving, while exploring the issues, challenges and opportunities presented in a fast changing world.



Monday morning, at 10.30AM, also sees another Harpers session taking place in the Innovation Zone, where Harpers’ editor will be hosting a discussion on Driving New Product Development.

Bringing together speakers at the forefront of NPD, exploring the latest consumer focused developments, the economic imperative of embracing research and change, this session will also be asking why wine appears to be lagging behind rival categories of spirits and beers.

Meanwhile, on the Wednesday, fresh from the judging of our most recent Wine Stars Awards, a selection of our winning English sparkling wines will be revealed, with the wines also available for tasting at midday on Wednesday 23 May in the Drinks Britannia zone.

The line up – including some of the most fantastic of our home-grown estates – will be presented by Harpers regular Chris Wilson as the results are announced.
