Woodford Reserve rolls out 'barrel' to UK on-trade
Woodford Reserve has unveiled a new barrel that will allow the UK on-trade to serve up a speedy Old Fashioned cocktail.
It says the “innovative” two litre barrel has been designed to allow for "pre-batching of the traditionally complex cocktail” using a blend of the newly launched Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup and Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select.
The barrel, which took six months to design and perfect, has a steel interior with a wooden exterior. The tap is connected to the barrel via a bayonet fitting ensuring zero waste and easy cleaning. Each barrel comes with dispenser and care Instructions.
The idea is that the barrel allows on trade accounts to offer a quality cocktail offering even if they lack the time and expertise required to do so.
