Sustainability in Drinks (SID) has confirmed its lineup of speakers for 2026, with more than 60 experts from both the sustainability and drinks worlds coming together for a day of discussion, ideas and action.
A closing keynote address – introduced by Jancis Robinson MW – will be delivered by George Lamb (pictured), co-founder of regenerative farming business Wildfarmed, which works with over 100 growers, bakeries and restaurants to get “better food, from better farms on to the high street”.
Lamb’s focus will be how regenerative farming builds resilience into supply chains, and the implications for producers, buyers and retailers across the drinks industry.
Other key speakers at the event include head of sustainable development and R&D at the Wines of Alentejo Sustainability Programme Joao Barrosa; chair, non-executive director, trustee and advisor at Food Matters International Judith Batchelar OBE; author Jamie Goode; and development director of the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation (RVF) Anne Jones – along with a host of others.
Throughout the day, these leading retailers, producers and sustainability experts will share what they are already doing, with a focus on practical solutions and commercial reality across four themed zones.
These include Climate and Carbon – hosted by International Wineries for Climate Action; Land Health – hosted by the RVF; Packaging – hosted by The Porto Protocol; and Sustainable Society – hosted by Drinks United.
Topics will include smarter buying, regenerative farming, credible certification, reducing waste, protecting supply chains and creating more sustainable workplaces.
Important new projects will also be revealed across the day. For example, a dedicated session with Stephen Cronk – founder of the RVF – will launch an initiative for retailers to support regenerative viticulture.
Commenting on this year’s SID, its co-founder Judy Kendrick, said: “Every member of the drinks trade should try to be there on 20 October. Whatever questions you have about sustainability, you'll find people in the room who can answer them, and you'll come away knowing so much more than when you arrived. Sustainability is here to stay, and everyone needs to get on board.”
SID will take place in Spitalfields, London on 20 October 2026. Tickets are available here.
