West Sussex wine producer Roebuck Estates has unveiled a brand new cellar door and tasting room at its Tillington home.
The new space will overlook the Estate’s South Downs vineyards and allows visitors to buy Roebuck wines as well as enjoy them on site.
The cellar door will be open year round, seven days a week.
“We wanted to create somewhere that feels like Roebuck: relaxed, welcoming and rooted in the place our wines come from,” reflected Roebuck CEO Michael Kennedy.
He added: “Our new cellar door lets people taste what we produce whilst looking out over the vineyard and enjoying a glass with friends, all year round. For us, this opening is an important step in bringing people to the heart of Roebuck Estates, and in helping us share what we do.”
Roebuck’s Classic Cuvée 2020 has had a successful award season – the wine winning a gold medal and 95 points at the International Wine Challenge, while also featuring in Wine GB’s Golden 50 for 2026.
The new cellar door is not the estate’s first foray this year into hospitality either – this summer the producer opened its first seasonal pop-up bar at the Royal Pavilion Rooms in Brighton.
Roebuck was founded in 2013 by Mike Smith and John Ball, with the business managing vineyards across Sussex and Kent. Wines for the estate are listed in retailers including Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s and Majestic. It is currently distributed by Alliance Wine.
