'PG', or Pretty Gorgeous, is the first of the new branded range from Languedoc-based Alain Grignon Wines to be launched onto the UK Off-Trade market.

Targeted at female consumers aged 25-45, this rosé wine is attractively presented in a clear glass bottle. The minimalist label was designed by leading drinks agency Barlow Doherty Creative to be both sophisticated and fun.

"We are convinced our target market is going to love this wine," says UK Sales Manager Peter Crameri. "All the cues are there to move this bottle off the shelf - it's 'Beautifully Made In France', a 'Fruity Rosé', and has a really eye-catching label. What's more, the quality of this wine at its RRP £5.99 price point should ensure repeat purchase."

'PG' 2008 is made by Head Winemaker Xavier Roger to be a pale, fresh and aromatic rosé wine with a residual sugar of 6g/l. The 85% Cinsault and 15% Muscat Petit Grains grapes were specially selected and sourced from the Bassin de Thau region of the Languedoc where the fresh maritime conditions are ideal for producing grapes with the desired floral and fruity character.

LGI-Alain Grignon Wines was established ten years ago. Now a leading player in the Languedoc, the company is 100% export focused and specialises in sourcing and supplying contemporary yet classic wines from the south of France via its established network of partner co-operatives and wineries.
