The International Bulk Wine & Spirits Show set for UK debut

Published:  10 March, 2017

The International Bulk Wine & Spirits Show (IBWSS) is poised to make its London debut next year.

The annual trade show, set to take place in the capital January 24th and 25th 2018, has been designed to give supermarkets, retailers, restaurants, wineries, distilleries and other buyers a premiere international platform to source bulk wine and spirits, and meet own label suppliers.

In addition to a wide range of programs running throughout the fair, it will also feature a business conference dedicated to the own label and bulk wine and spirit business.

The central part of the conference's remit was to encourage sustainable growth and profitability in the bulk wine and spirit sector, said Sid Patel, ceo of organiser Beverage Trade Network (BTN).

"As one of the leading own label and bulk wine and spirits markets in the western world, London is positioned perfectly for the fair," said Patel, adding the launch of IBWSS London would give international bulk suppliers from some of the world's most important markets "unprecedented access" to the European market.

"Bulk trading is an age-old trade between producers, but we are now seeing the business take on a very impressive position across the industry, with the bulk segment holding the largest market share in the wine and spirits industry," he said.

Open to trade professionals only, registrations for the show is now open to domestic and international suppliers.
