The Savoy launches Beaufort Wine Bar

Published:  14 October, 2026

Iconic London hotel The Savoy has opened the Beaufort Wine Bar, a new wine-focused bar featuring more than 250 selections from 18 countries, including niche propositions from Croatia to Tenerife, as well as Bordeaux First Growths, blue-chip Burgundy and mature Champagne.

Remarkably, half of the bar's inventory will be available by-the-glass, making it the UK's largest wine-by-the-glass programme.

“Half of the cellar is available by the glass using Coravin technology, allowing guests to discover rare, vintage and contemporary wines without committing to a full bottle,” said the hotel.

The new venture is being led by head sommelier Romain Audrerie (pictured, right), who previously worked on the opening team at Chiltern Firehouse before becoming global wine director for André Balazs Properties.

According to The Savoy: “The wine-led philosophy extends to the spirits list, which focuses exclusively on grape-based spirits, alongside a selection of gastronomic wine cocktails featuring Cognac, Grappa and Pisco.”

Hungry oenophiles will be able to enjoy sharing dishes, including artisan cheeses and a “tableside carving service” featuring cured meats and hand-carved Jamón Ibérico, sliced from a custom-made trolley.

The Beaufort Wine Bar opened yesterday (13 October).
