A new trade show dedicated to the UK's bar and pub trade is launching this October with a focus on how the on-trade can evolve and adapt to changing consumer behaviours.

The Bar & Pub Show, in partnership with The Morning Advertiser, will be launching for the first time alongside this year's The Restaurant Show, from October 3 to 5 at the London Olympia.

The event will feature a programme of live events specially tailored to the bar and pub sector, including debates, interviews, demonstrations and talks.

Topics to be discussed live on stage include a State of the Nation session exploring growth areas for pubs, as well as lessons on turning a country pub into a Michelin starred restaurant destination.

speaking of the need for a dedicated bar and piub show, Ed Bedington, editor for The Morning Advertiser, told Harpers: "There's couldn't be a better time to launch this show. The UK's bars and pubs are in growth mode - hungry for innovation and ideas to build their businesses. They'll find them all here."

Visitors will be able to listen to honest opinions, personal stories and insights from some of the industry's most successful names including Josh and Holly Eggleton from The Pony & Trap, Andrew Pern of The Star Inn, and Dominic Chapman of The Beehive.

There will be opportunities to learn how to develop wine lists and craft beers, and how to pair with food.

The Bar & Pub Show will bring together exhibitors from across the sector, including food and drink suppliers, as well as technology and equipment, entertainment, designers.

Notable exhibitors include The British Institute of Innkeeping, Pub Food Direct, The Prosecco Agency, Peppermill Antiques, The Proton Group, Sipsmith and Winefit Quality Wine Dispensers.

The Bar & Pub Show will also give access to three other leading hospitality industry events: The Restaurant Show, Conscious Hospitality Show and the Catering Equipment Expo.
