Vinisud and Vinovision join forces

Published:  31 October, 2017

Vinisud, the exhibition dedicated to Mediterranean wine, and international cool climate wine exhibition Vinovision Paris, have joined forces in a bid to become “the focus of the wine events calendar”.

The partnership follows recent news that French exhibitions company Comexposium had acquired Vinisud-owner Adhesion Group and its 74% in World Bulk Wine Exhibition.

The move has been described in a statement as “an improved response to the needs of the international wine trade”.

The new organisation will bring together all Southern and Northern wine regions, but each event will retain its distinct identity.

This will mean members of the wine business will be able to connect over three successive events run over an eight-day period at the beginning next year.

Vinovison Paris will run from 12 to 14 February 2018 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Paris, followed by the WWM Global business meetings, hosted from February 14 to 17 at the 5-star Hôtel du Collectionneur.

Meanwhile, Vinisud will run from 18 to 20 February 2018 at the Montpellier Exhibition Centre.

“By joining forces, both shows will retain their unique positioning whilst allowing the attending wine regions and businesses to ensure a higher profile for their distinctive identities,” the statement said.

Sales and PR activities will also be pooled with details announced later in November 2017.

Vinisud 2018 will focus on the issue of sustainable development and ethical accountability during its event. The aim is to consider how consumer demands have changed with more focus on local products and transparency.

Vinovision is the 1st international cool climate wine exhibition, and represents all the French cool climate wine trade associations.

The WWM business convention offers the opportunity to meet selected wine buyers from key buying markets of the world.
